The Charm of Connaught Place
The heart of City (New Delhi) - Connaught Place, the most prominent location in Delhi. So much so, distances to Delhi are still measured with CP as the starting point. Also, the location of Orkut Delhi Meet for last two time, simply because of the fact that its the central location and easily accessible (more so with Delhi Metro). Named after the visit of Duke of Connaught to India, it is the focus of entertainment, shopping, and business activities. Designed by Robert Tor Russell in collaboration with WH Nicholls, it comprises two huge concentric circles of colonnaded verandahs in plastered brick design painted an eye-pleasing white.
First three pics are taken by Bhaskar, who was experimenting a lot with my camera at orkut meet. I have just added Sand Stone Texture in third pic to give it a different look.

Its great to see the my snaps on your blog. By the way there was another like the 2nd snap which had all the wires...right? Dont you think that was a better snap?
Vaise the sun set one is absolutely amazing!!! Did you notice the colour change in the sky..how it is a distinct line which seprates the two colours of the sky!
the place still rocks even though the metro contruction has created a lot of problems.. but it can still beat many other hangouts like ansal plaza or greater kailash

buddy.....2 pic is ur pic only....i have removed the wires using smudge tool of photoshop....thot they were proving to be too much of hindrance in the pic......i guess i sent u the original one....
abt the 4 pic , yeah sunset looks cool...i have just enhanced the color a lil in picasa and increased the contrast and that has resulted in clear line...but its coming out well.....
infact i have used a smudge tool here also to remove a signboard on right.....u can see the pole but not a board on it :)
sometimes u need to use it...to bring the various features in pic....i hope u will agree...

Well...I just checked out the original snap...I still like that better! It was like the old grace (building) with the new reality (wires). That made me click the snap at the first place!!!
