Sun's Play

Pics taken at St. Mary's Church in Fort St. George - Chennai. St. Mary's Church : built in 1678-80, was the first English Church in Chennai, and is the oldest surviving British Church in India. There are reminders in the Church of Clive, who was married here in 1753, and of Elihu Yale, the early Governor of Chennai who later founded the famous American University bearing his name. (Now that was surprise to me also)

Symmetry in Blue

Pic taken at Fort St. George, Chennai. This is the Archaeological Society of India's Chennai office, which is situated inside the Fort in an Old Building. I like the British Architecture and the open window panes at the evening time out here. I have decided to post this pic in color but when i applied the Old Photography filter on it, it was coming out well, gels well with the age of the building. Your comments please..........

Canon @ Fort St. George

Pic taken at Fort St George in Chennai. Fort St. George, a creation of the British in the year 1640 marks the beginning of developing Madras (Chennai) as a modern city. I had to take this pic in quite a hurry because of the guards. Hence, i was not able to change the settings, thats why you can see that picture is little overexposed. Though i liked the composition, thats why posting it out here.
I will be in the process of shifting back to New Delhi by this weekend. So, I am not sure whether I would be able to post next pic on coming Monday or not. More pics to follow soon from the fort.
